Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I don't see my post either. Damn, it was loaded with graphic descriptions. I put a trigger warning in subject box. Is that not allowed?
I spent 30 minutes typing the trauma, which, according to my therapist is necessary. Has my post been taken down. I sure am not going thru it again.

Personally, I have never felt that sharing my traumatic experiences helped me, at all... Ever.
I recently tried rapid therapy, and it was expensive, but ut helped significantly, just not enough...
I started taking wellbutrin, and that has helped me, somewhat.
I hate ptsd groups, because of all the sharing of trauma... It just makes me feel worse.
Crap... I still sometimes casually mention basic aspects of it, where it seems like it might actually be useful or helpful, such as talking about why we have certain fears, or why we disassociate, ect.
But I avoid talking about my own experiences, and I don't like hearing about others, eirher. (no offense, please)!
I think that thing about 'letting it all out' is a load of crap.
That's what my experience is.
Many years if therapy, here, on and off... I recently just gave up, for good.
I actually feel *better*.
I think it can help for somethings, for a little while... But ultimately, I think we just need to be kinder to ourselves.
Sometimes singing along with a good song with a positive message and even a few tears, is a lot more effective than a year of therapy.
Just my humble opinion...
But yeah, it would suck *really* bad ti write all that shit out, for nothing!
Welk, you don't need to do that, just to feel accepted or get some relief, if you are lucky enough to find a person who is kind.
It's your lucky day, because I think I am kind of a kind person.
Hahaha
Anyway, you're not alone. That's all I can say...
Don't know your whole story, sorry, but don't want to.
That doesn't mean, however, that I don't care about another person in distress...
I understand what PTSD is like, and an assortment of other related afflictions...
It SUCKS.
I haven't given uo yet, though, and neither should you.
