Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
That's what my therapist and I have figured out.
SO.......
What are you too afraid to think about and face?
You don't have to answer the question of course.
I once had someone obsessing over me. We had been "friends" for a VERY long time. (Close to twenty years)
But I had to cut all ties with him. ((Long story, but he was detrimental to my mental health) So, I explained to him that we could not be friends anymore. That I needed to get away from him in order to get well.
He tried to "Force" me to stay in his life. Even to this day, after two years, he sends me letters via snail mail. (I blocked his emails)
It is very bothersome. In fact, his refusal to accept my decision has made me hate him.
I cringe when I see a letter from him.
I'm sure your situation is very different from mine, but you do have to let her go. The pain will lessen.
Everyday, the pain of her memory will dissipate just a little more.
You will never forget her completely because she is in your past. But hopefully soon, you will be able to think of her without it hurting so much.
Good Luck To You :-)
