Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Have you ever been checked for adult adhd symptoms?
I would have never thought I'd qualify....until I looked it up.
Chronic lateness and forgetfulness.
Anxiety.
Low self-esteem.
Employment problems.
Difficulty controlling anger.
Impulsiveness.
Substance abuse or addiction.
Poor organization skills.
Procrastination.
Low frustration tolerance.
Chronic boredom.
Difficulty concentrating when reading.
Mood swings.
Depression.
Relationship problems.
(I checked YES to all of them)
I'm actually the type that will rarely even take a tylenol for a headache.
But my sister (who happens to be my mental TWIN) is diagnosed with adult adhd. As well as bipolar disorder, which coincidentally has very similar symptoms. I have taken some of her adderall (and by taken, I mean she gave them to me) and it is just about the closest I come to feeling normal.....ish.
Procrastination has always been one of my biggest character flaws.
I wish I could find answers too,as the setting goals lark just makes me worse if I dont achieve them.
( I wont be prescribed adhd meds as i have a heart condition)
I hope some people have some other ideas as i will watch your post with interest..
Does it take a while to kick in?
Mind you I'm also on several other psych. meds.
