You're on a journey. A journey of learning. What is it that you need to learn? What is it that you need to discover? What key will unlock the issue of working?
Look for the key. Treat your life as a quest and the depression as a riddle you must solve. You will solve it: We do solve them. That's how we get to live happy ever after.
As far as work goes, perhaps some time off to recharge would be good for you. Work can burn you out faster than anything else. Maybe volunteer for a good cause like an animal shelter for a few hours a week.
