As of today his blood work is coming in good as well as the mri & ultrasound came back good. He gets his first feeding tonight at 5pm.

That is great news! Hopefully all will continue to go well.

I can not put into words how much my heart hurts right now, I knew that I was getting discharged tonight, and that Aiden would not be coming home with us, what I didn't know was coming back from seeing him the morning and being told that I have already been discharged. I was completely unprepared for this experience.

As far as Aiden goes the steroids that they have him last night has been working amazing, he is having a whole lot easier time breathing and isnt requiring as much oxygen. I was able to hold him for the first time last night with skin to skin and again this morning, and for that i am grateful. I am just not ready to go home without him.

Congratulations! I cannot imagine what you are going through right now, but I wanted to offer my prayers and support to you and your child. This cannot be easy for you, but I hope that you will continue to find the strength to stay strong during this hard time, and I hope that you will be able to take Aiden home really soon. :)

I had one things went wrong he was born my placenta was not working right hr was 4ilb but I was lucky his lungs where complete , still praying there so tiny there scary huh hugs min

My sister in law went through this with her first borns (twins!), and I know it was hard. She visited them a LOT, and that was bitter sweet; she love the time with them, but going home without them every day was hard.

Hi E. I'm sorry I'm just now getting back to the post. I'm so glad that Aiden is responding well to the treatments and that the tests looked good. I know you didn't want to leave him and how hard it must've been but you know he's where he needs to be and they are taking wonderful care of him. I'm sure you can go and spend as much time as you want to with him until he's ready to come home. You have this beautiful blessing and he'll be home with you before you know it and you have so much joy ahead of you, you can't begin to know how much. Love and big hugs xoxo

I went through this with my youngest child who is now 16 years old; his lung had collapsed at birth. I know what you are going through not being able to hold him all the time and leaving him in the NICU. When I walked in the NICU I felt a wave of peace wash over me. That's when I realized it was out of my hands and in my greater power's hands. Know I am thinking and praying for you and yours. Big hugs and smooches.

He certainly is in good hands at the hospital.....we will continue to pray.....for our little Patriot!!!
