Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". We see ourselves as a warped object. Remember the old mirrors in the fun houses. You would stand in front of one and it would make you real skinny and tall, you stand in front of a different one and it would make you look fat and short.
This is how depression works, in our minds. We see ourselves from a different prospective. We do not see ourselves for who we really are. We judge ourselves on performance or the lack thereof.
There are many of us here who have dealt with the many facets of depression. We understand and we will do our best to help you. Hang in there with us. You can make it.
My thoughts are with you, (((hugs)))
