Did you tell your Dr your concerns about Abilify and the new med? If not, I would call him and ask all your questions so you can take the med without being scared. Antipsychotics can be very effective in treating certain types of depression, so it may be worth a quick call to your Dr so you feel at ease taking the new med.

She's not very nice. She was mad about the lexapro and claimed there's no way that could've happened and said well what should we try and when I told her she's the dr she got mad and said that medicine and told me bye. She's not a calm person at all.

Im so sorry your Dr treated you poorly. You are right, she is not very nice. Perhaps you could call the pharmacist to ask your questions

maybe time for a different dr? no-one should be treated that way.Especially people suffering from anxiety,as she is aware..ugh...Ive also had to stop a couple of anti-depressants due to high blood pressure.It can be a side effect.

I'm thinking about trying the Zoloft instead. My husband says he thinks it'd be safer for me to try first.

that sounds like it might be a good idea ...don't let that doctor bully you .....it is terable how she has been treating you .........you need to stand up to her and tell her what you want ......if she can't be nice and do her job the proper way ....than you will have to force her to do her job .....the right way ......or maby you can get someone else .........I am sorry she has been treating you this way ......you just don't need to be treated that way and she schould know better .........take care .....God bless .....

I agree with previous comments, anxiety patients should never be treated with anger. If they are trying to give you newer drugs you are uncomfortable with, ask if there is something that has been around longer you can try. Everyone is different. I actually take a combination of effexor and buspar. This has worked pretty well for many years. I know it is hard when you are in the middle of anxiety. Remember to try and breathe through it and make yourself a priority. Anything that makes you feel better, music, etc. unfortunately, although we look for someone to lean on and take the feeling away, in the end, only you have the power to make it better.
