Physically hurt ... Mentally Depressed ???

I injured my back and that injury brings back memories and fears. I was out of work for nearly three months witha ruptured disc that needed back surgery. That was nearly ten years ago. Now an older me would not do as well. So with this new pain and old memories is triggering me. I guess I would like to know how you folks would handle this.

I'm so sorry you're having back pain. I had back pain after surgery,
many years ago, and it was as bad as being in labor, only it lasted
for weeks.

One thing that helped me immediately - an alternative chiropractor. Not one of the bone-crunching variety. The pen-like thing they use (no idea what it's called) brought me some relief, immediately. It may
not work on your problem, but I look for alternative solutions whenever possible -- there's so many opportunities along the way for
something to go wrong. Too many people involved in things and there's always at least one not paying attention, not sterilizing something. Medical people get angry over remarks like this, yet they know everything that goes on where they work.

I am so sorry sweetie....... not sure I am the best one to answer this because I had major back surgery 4 1/2 months ago.. but I want to tell you I am sorry you are triggered and I know you don't want to thing about having surgery again.. I don't know what the new injury is.. but please please see a doc. .. it could mean physical therapy.. or something non invasive.. please see the doc.. please.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Back pain is dreadful and I don't blame you for being afraid, but remember it may not be exactly what you think. The best way to deal with it is see a doctor ASAP, find out what you're dealing with, and address the problem. The faster you deal with it the better you will feel. One of the worst aspects of depression is feeling completely helpless, but by addressing it as soon as possible you will be taking control. I delayed seeking help on health issues in the past because I was paralyzed with fear and it made them much worse. Things would have been so much simpler had I faced them right away.

well bud I crutch along on whiskey and beer though I do change flavors of spirits continually when dealing with bone pain.

BUT, please do not tell the congress of the united states as they just might list distilled spirits as a medication and then it will only be obtainable under Obama care. ;)

I don't think I could afford it if that happened......

    Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway.
