Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I'm not sure why, but now more than ever after the pandemic is *sort of* winding down, I just feel more sensitive to the energy of other people and crowds. I'm not sure why this is. I've started trying different meetups. I've never had a bad experience before the pandemic, but lately I am. Some of them are just not what I remember. And I'm trying some new ones. Some of them are great, and others make me so uncomfortable I just want to run. It's been very isolating during the pandemic.
I thought I would try something new, so I went to an arts meetup in my area. I was looking forward to it most of the week. All excited, I drove down there. I was really kind of thrown off when I got there. I don't mind meeting people of all ages, but when people are way far off from my age, I feel out of place. It's not a big deal if I click with the people...but I just didn't. I think the whole thing was just ill fated. There was a baby that was screaming like crazy, and it was echoing throughout the entire museum. The mom just didn't do anything...and it went on...and on.... But that was not what bothered me, really. It was the organizer, opposite sex of me, not usually a big deal, but my skin started to crawl. We hadn't been there half and hour, and the personal questions starting coming. He immediately mentioned liking to be alone and really disliking people, which made me very uncomfortable. I did not like the way he was looking at me and that he was standing really close. I am an art enthusiast and that's why I went-to talk about the art. I felt he was drilling me about the details of my life, work, etc. Out of nowhere, he leaned in close and asked me "Do you have kids?" I said why, then excused myself and left. I could not wait to get out. Really disappointed, I went straight home. I am just finally learning that vibes really do tell you something and I used to not listen to my vibes. Now I do.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

So voc rehab finally got in touch with me...it took like six months finally. The voc rehab person that they assigned to me is a lawyer and extremely knowledgable on disability law and he seems to know a great deal about how to get people placed in jobs and how to make their resumes pass ATS. I was really surprised at how articulate and energetic he is. I guess my question is how much I...

I know how stuff like feel's.
Curtain situation's make me feel VERY uncomfortable, Like growing up.....I use to to go over to friend's of the family house....I was close with their daughter, and they had a son, Who had mental issues, He didn't have a brother, I think He thought I was his little brother,, someone he could tease and tell what do, and how to do it......And if their was stuff I understood and he didn't, I tryed to assert myself And explain it to him, He would get upset.....Thinking I'm older then You, I should know more then You..
That kind of stuff made me feel Very uncomfortable.....if Uber and or Lyft existed......I would have left, That's how uncomfortable it made me
