I have been doing so well, but this was a tough one.
I stupidly thought mosquitos had been chewing me up. I never figured that indoor cats could get fleas. But they did. I laundered and sprayed and vacuumed and washed and gave flea treatments and combed until I became exhausted. Gonna do again until they are gone.
As if that was not enough, due to the storm, and a leaky roof (which was supposed to be repaired on Tuesday aka Hurricane Day) our bathroom celing became soaked and fell down in enough spots that the whole thing will nedd to be replaced.
I learned something about myself. I can only handle one problem at a time without becoming overwhelmed. I wish life would pay attention and stop throwing me 2 or more at a time :p

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. I find that sometimes the mantra "What's the worse that can happen?" helps, but it's tough to deal with a leaking ceiling and the damage it leaves. Having a warm, secure home is so important to us humans that when it's NOT we have a tough time dealing with other stuff.
The worst is over. Bathe your flea bites, put a big bucket in your bathroom and congratulate yourself on getting through an awful week.
