I had an appointment with my pdoc last week for a med check and refills, but I completely forgot it as I was focused on my stupid homework. The earliest I could get a new appointment was June 7th. I was going to request a refill last Friday, but my insurance only pays for one fill of each medication a month and it was a day early. :\ So I had to wait until Tuesday to call because of the weekend and the holiday.
I called and left a message for the lady who handles refill requests as soon as they opened on Tuesday, but I never heard back from her. Which is strange because it doesn't take more than a few hours for them to call in a refill and get back to me. I called again this morning and once again I have not heard anything back from them. I am now completely out of medication. I tried talking to the front desk, but no one answered. I know they are open.
I remembered my doctor is on vacation this week, but couldn't they get another one of their doctors to handle my refills? Either way it doesn't explain as to why I haven't heard anything at all.
I am afraid I won't get my meds refilled until June 7th. I am also worried I am going to go through withdrawals. I am already severely depressed and I seem to be coming down with a cold. I don't need to deal with withdrawals on top of this.
I could use some prayers or positive thoughts.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

I'm sorry this isn't more helpful. ( I was thinking of ending it tonight. It sounds like you at least have date to get them. That's good. I have next to no meds in sight, Maybe it will help to know others go thru ittoo. .
End of list.
I've lived the horror of meds gone wrong and let me tell you it is a person's worst nightmare.
Be careful
I've been in this sort of position, myself, where I rant out of medication and could not get in touch with anyone for a refill.
There should always be an answering service or back-up for your Dr. For any emeregency that comes up. If you are taking a med thhat you are not supposed to stop (abruptly) it's an emergency. When you call you say it's an emergency and insist on speaking to an n-call Dr. Or Pysician's Assistant. Usually they will give you just enough to get you through the time that is needed to talk to your Dr. Next. It is their responsibility to do so. I would also act like it's very serious to get their attention and take it seriously!
I've gotten nervous every on a few occasions but it all worked out because of a back up that every Dr. Is required to take care of an emergency, and stopping certain drugs abruptly is considered an emergency in many cases.
