Well, I just found out some bad news about our favorite mouser. Turns out he is mildly anemic, which according to his vet can mean only one of two things. Either he is developing kidney disease or he has cancer. It is likely the first as diabetes affects the kidneys over time. Kidney disease is supposedly treatable, but they can't run tests on him for another month as he just had bloodwork done over the weekend. Please send good vibes.

Fortunately, diet cat help cats feel SO much more comfortable. I've seen dietary changes turn two cats' lives around.

He has been switched to moist cat food which seems to help a little bit energy wise, but he still is losing weight. If it is cancer, it would likely be of the digestive system. Luckily, the vet found no masses, so it's likely kidney disease. Going to put him on iron pills which I hope helps.
My fiance's son has a gorgeous horse named Sarge..He stepped on a nail and they took the nail out of his hoof and it got infected.. The horse was at the vet for 4 days $3000 later and they dont think they will be able to save him.. He is at our house now and I go out and feed him treats everyday. They say it will be a miracle if he lives.. One little nail. Who would have thought... I pray for this horse everyday.. It is gonna break my heart if they have to put him down, and he is not even mine..
