when I worked with a job that I chauffeured cell phone engineers around at night while they ran computer cell phone tests in the back of the SUV I had rented by my company I had one night where the rain came down so heavy...we were on a gravel and dirt road and I came to a flooded creek/river....the cell phone engineer was pissed off that I refused to drive thru flooded creek...I did not know what the bottom was there it could have been several feet over the top of the wheels of the car for all I knew...but he called his company...we worked for different companies and they wanted me to drive thru the flooded creek too...I stuck to my guns that I would not do that....they then asked me to let him drive thru the creek I refused to do that too...did these idiots not know that cars can be swept away in flooding rivers? Oh that was a fun night for sure...LOL NOT! in the long run we turned around and got on another road and the daylight came...we hit another flooded river but I could see the concrete pathway the road took thru the creek and I was ready to drive thru that one as it was not that deep and not flowing quite as fast as the other but there was a big log in the middle of the road that stopped me from doing that....so much for idiots....anyway....hugs
Very wise. I would not have done it either.
