Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
we could use more of those around here

I had a similar conversation with my SO not long ago, talking about how to deal with my perfectionism, something built in so inherently to my personality, world view, and sense of self, that removing it would require, essentially, a lot of rebuilding, relearning, and remolding.
It's not an easy task, but the "lucky" thing, in my opinion, is that it IS so inherent a part of our lives (whatever it may be that we're trying to change), so we will have plenty of chances to practice along the way :) So, as long as we keep at it "next time," failure now is inconsequential. Just hang in there.
*Hugs* I hope tomorrow is as easy on you as today was :)

lots of proffessions are great to be a perfectionist in...
one friend who was always the biggest perfectionsist i ever knew, went on to paint cars, and has a great career doing it now because he wouldnt accept even the tiniest flaw in anything.
i know if i ever need brain surgery, i want a perfectionist doing it!
and so on...
so dont loose too much of that perfectionism!

For me, I could receive the Nobel Peace Prize next year, and still lose sleep that night because I misspelled a word on a report I submitted to work because I would have to be "stupid" to do such a thing. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, necessarily.
