Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

And I am so sorry your character did something that effected you in such a way (silly main character you are supposed to bring joy and fuzzy feelings!! Main Character you had one job!)
But please, I want to help so if you wanna talk I am willing to listen
(Here is a small explination of myself and my issues to help break the ice if that helps at all: I suffer from swinging self esteem, I hate myself with all of my soul at times, but then other times I swing to thinking I can do no wrong. Both cause serious problems with both myself and others. I frequently shut out those who care most about me cause I think I am not worth there time, or cause I think I am to cool for them... it is kind of terrible. I also have been known to self harm by scratching at my skin till I bleed. When I am super low or super high I have been known to not be able to tell what is real life and everything feels either grey scale or psychedelic thus nothing seems real and my imagination sometimes is interpreted as real in my brain. I do go see a councilor every once and a while but honestly I am scared to actually tell him anything important and I think he is getting super frustrated with me cause I refuse to open up to much. I also really like Dogs, Play Trombone and enjoy knitting)
Again never hesitate to call upon me! I have eyes that read quite well and I would love to give hugs and cookies through the interwebs <3
You got this, and I believe in you!!!
So write her a letter. Something. Get it out on paper, get it out on tape - but get it out. You can see it coming; you need to take steps to head it off at the pass. This is what parents are useful for; it's something we dont' generally raise with kids till the kids raise it with us, but this is the terrain we live in, that we try to protect our kids from. This is our terrain.
So we know it. And we often know how to manage it. Anxiety locks you down at assessment time. It can be hard to get moving. It can be hard when moving to know what the teacher wants. It's all generally awful. Telling someone is your best option. Talking to lecturers, tutors, parents, friends. Offloading the stress and pressure. Finding ways of handling the topic that might be easier.
