What the Hell, don't they have anything better to do. they came knocking on my door, to verify the license on my dogs (3) .. I gave my X the lab who in return brought her back his GF doesn't like her. I can't afford the fees, here it's around $30 buck each one. They are all neutered or spayed, shots are current they don't roam the neighborhood, only bark when someones out in there yard. They were all licensed until this last year, but they are putting fines on it they want $300.00 or I 'll be given a citation, which means I have to go to court pay that fine and then still pay the licensing fees.

Hell, I can barley survive feeding them and keeping a roof over our heads. Mind you my X brought 2 of the dogs home, didn't even want anymore dogs 1 is enough, called him he said he wasn't going to pay for them they are my dogs..
OMG!!!! It's christmas, who even has a pot to piss in right now. NOT ME!! Don't know what I going to do...

Thanks for letting me rant, I'm just so pissed.

Do you have any way of proving that he bought them? If so then that should deflect some of the shit back onto him.

He didn't buy the dogs they were given to him by someone. Mind you I love animals, I wouldn't want to live without them in my life, But I'm just not in the position to be able to afford them.

I wouldn't think so, I lived her for almost 8 years. Like I was saying they now told me I have to take them to the vet for shots as they won't accept it that i gave them thier shots, I keep the labels from the vaccines and date them so I know what and when I gave it to them.
Thay are refusing to show any empahty. Idiots that all I can say.

In Calif, they go round neighborhood canvasing. I got nailed this yr too. $121 & i still havent been able to get my cats & dogs in to the vet. Finances just wont allow it.
I love my pets & have always had them fixed & shots kept up but right now we r just not in the position financially.

Oh that is just wrong of them they just passed a law in my city now you have to do it for cats also its all about their pocket books I will be damned if i will give them my money for my cat that never goes out side ....sorry they are mucking with you hugs

that sucks, you have a licensing fee on top on the shots..........man, they go after people's money anyway they can. Here, being lincensed means they have had their shots and a vet put a license on them. We don't have fees for owning them.

In North Carolina you would also be paying Property Tax on each animal. We called it the Goldfish Tax
