This morning... walked around outside in jeans and a t-shirt.
This afternoon/early evening..... ground is covered in snow and it keeps flying. Airport and parts of the city are out of power, winds are crazy.... straight up blizzard.

you are SO LUCKY to live in calgary! what a beautiful area! i wish i had banff and jasper in my back yard. i love storms like the one you're getting.

There is snow on the mountains around us so it gets very cold at night. You have to be prepared for anything.
Banff is about an hour and a half. Usually when I go snowboarding at Sunshine it takes us about an hour and a half from leaving the North end of Calgary til we park.
I definitely do like this city - there is a reason I moved here, after all!
This weather is very amusing ... you have to be prepared for ANYTHING at ANY TIME......
You think it's crazy that one day it's raining and the next it's gorgeous?
Try waking up on a beautiful JUNE morning to see the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky, only to go back to sleep for an hour and wake up to find the ground covered in snow! This actually happened last June LoL it was the weirdest thing.... and then later that day it rained, and then it hailed, and then by 5:00 it was gorgeous and sunny again....
Only in Calgary!
