OH CRAP!!!...

Wallowing in my depressive state...I completely forgot that I was supposed to go a memorial service today at 11.

Now I have another thing to feel bad about. I so wanted to go pay my respects to this person...but I am so selfish ...thinking about me and all my problems that no one can fix...that I totally forgot about the service.

UGH...I am so mad at my depression and at myself now...I can't even take a step forward without just f'ing up...

I am nauseated because I just ate a little bit...I am exhausted...and now I am so pissed off that I forgot about this

Help...I've fallen...and I can't get UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Visit the family later. They will need support after the services are over, also.

I'm with the others. I'm sure people wouldn't have noticed your absence as no one makes much eye-contact at these kind of things. Visits afterwards are so valuable.

There is always that steady rush of visitors and well wishers at first and then....nothing. They would probably appreciate a card or visit or even a meal a week or even two down the road. Just that you feel bad about missing the funeral shows what a careing person you are. Give yourself a little credit. I'm sure there are many who remembered and just decided to skip it.

I had to read what your post said because I just love the word CRAP! I use to watch Reba all the time and I would crack up every time she would say OH CRAP!. One of my favorite sayings.
I am sorry that you missed your service and I hope it all worked out at the end of the day.
