Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I've been battling some form of depression off and on for the past 20+ years. Some years are okay, some are just plain awful. I didn't want to get on meds, but a couple years ago I had to because I was sinking so much I was about to drown. Maybe try a counselor to talk to, or a psychiatrist so you can talk about meds. Just don't do it all alone.
I have found out that family isn't always the best route to go in terms of trying to feel better. Sometimes they do more harm than good, IMHO. Maybe you could find some activities to do to get you away from staring at 4 walls all day. Heck I go to my local library for about an hour or so just so I can ease my mind some from going insane! Sending hugs xx
Keep updating and keep reaching out. Someone is always here to help, make suggestions, listen, talk and share our problems, we know 'cause we are experiencing similar problems.
Take care.
