Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
For the longest time i put on a front that I didnt need any help and that I was fine, and my friends and family went along with it... and then i would think to myself that if they couldnt see that something was truly bothering me that they didnt love me and that they didnt care, so what was the use of asking...
One day, i broke down because i literally couldnt not keep it anymore, and what they told me suprised me... they said that they knew i was struggling but they didnt want to impose and thought it was best that they give me my space to deal with it... but they always wanted to help and reach other, they just didnt want to overstep boundaries... so maybe thats whats happening with you to... i say reach out to someone, your kids even... you dont have to talk to them about whats going on... just a little chat would be good... i mean you have nothing to lose!!! :D i believe in you Cheese.. you made it this far, which means you are stronger than you think!!!
You can choose to not go back to bed, but do something productive, no matter how small You can choose to reconnect with your children. You can choose to reconnect with friends, or do activities to make new ones... What's stopping you from doing any of these things?
There's nothing wrong with reaching out and asking for help or support. People will actually want to help you, but they won't know how or when unless you ask.
Please, for your own sake, make some different choices tomorrow!
