I’ve been battling depression for almost three years now. I got removed from my parents home in 2015. That was very hard. I’m now living with a family member and I hate it here.. But I hope everyone is doing okay. I’m always here for anyone who ever needs to talk.

I'm sorry. I grew up feeling the same way. Well, more than feeling, knowing, but...whatever.

It's a hole that people who don't understand...just don't understand.

I pretty much got told that I was stupid by everyone.

Then I had my own kids and have seen the difference that feeling of just being "wanted" makes.

I'm sorry you have had to go through this. I see this alot where I work. we all deserve to feel loved by someone, feel wanted, not feeling like a burden. do you have any good friends you can trust to talk about some things with? and you do need to get into therapy if you are not already in therapy, if you have a social worker, talk to them about getting therapy if you dont already have it.

Hello, Thanks for your post. I appreciate your strength and fight with depression. This is what matters. It's understandable it's not easy leaving home and then to go live with a family member. This takes time getting used to. I hope you are better. I wonder if you have tried any relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, journaling, walking, going out, anything that calms you down. You are in a very tough situation. Unless your State considers you an adult, your only other option is foster care ... if living with parents is out and living where you are is out.

Worse, is that at 18 you (probably) are an adult and will have to find your own place to live. That is a very big thing for a person to do for their first time with no parental or (otherwise) adult support.

If Parents are out of the question, I hope the other 'family member' can make some changes ... and do a proper 'stand in' as your parent ... if you get what I mean.
