Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

My dad told me once that the only reason they got married was because I was going to be born. They couldn't go back to school or get better, less stressful jobs. I understand that it's not my fault, but it would have been better if none of this ever happened.
Success is doing what you love, feeling fullfilled by your decisions. Play music everyday. Everyday. Every. Day. Check out a community college to take just one art class of your choosing to start and talk to the financial aid office about payment options, apply for federal aid. There are options out there. You are were born with these gifts that are needed in this world. You matter. Show up your parents by making the right choices for you. You deserve this. Depression is quite brutal and exhausting and can worsen if you are not doing what you want to do.
It totally helps when you know the fact our mind have the tendency to stay with negative thoughts and its hard effort to stay away from it.
You have t work hard to achieve good while staying negative is so easy and so NATURAL!
Anyway your parents chose to play hide the salami and they chose not to abort or adopt you out. they chose to marry, they chose to keep jobs, they made choices left right and centre and they chose to raise you. You are an important and chosen person and you are vital to their happiness. And some dumb thing dad let slip one day without realising it would send you down the plughole (like me telling my kids how great my figure was before those two bloody ten pounders showed up) and cannot fathom that you would take it the way you have...
As to the job: you really h ave no excuse that washes with me. You can wash dishes can't you?
Being interested is fluff and foolishness. You're working to eat. Depression? YOu can be depressed and wash dishes. You're in a group full of people who have held down jobs they hated, raised children, run homes, with depression - so you need to let go of this 'don't want to work' thing.
If you want a future you have to put the work in. Without a degree you start low and you slave your way up and you most CERTAINLY can do it. But you start lower than your ego might like. That's the hit you take. You start very low, you work your absolute arse off, and you go asking for a performance review and a wage review every year. Got it? That's how you do it. You ask for training, you ask for opportunities to improve, and you work your arse off and you improve. And within 3 yrs you will be doing fine.
You won't get it on a plate. That's not your path. You'll have to be hard working, canny, reliable, responsible, never complain, always positive. And then let time do the rest.
and buy yourself one of those converters and slowly make your own music, and put it on youtube, and just go from there. your 20s are your high energy years. They are the productive years, so get into it and produce. You need clarity of purpose and direction, and then you will be off like a rocket. Don't let yourself get bogged down in areas where you don't have power: focus entirely on those areas where you do have power and can act.
