Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Welcome to the group.
And I'm so, so sorry about the death of your Lady.
My fiance died in a auto accident several years back.
I'm NOT a depressive person usually. But when that happened, I closed myself off for a year. I saw no family or friends. I didn't talk on the phone or internet to anyone.
It was a bad choice really, and stupid on my part. But I seemed to almost be in shock for 12 months.
This is a great site for support. Keep checking in. Let us know how you are. We do our best to advise and befriend.
It is a wonderful blessing to be heard and understood. I have been able to get some help, group is best for me, I also tend to hibernate. Can't join a group till I move back to the city. Due to the traumatic nature of my s/o's passing I have been dealing with flashbacks. I talk to people every day, but I become tired and start to stutter, or I'll tear up and don't know what to do. Its a paramedics worst nightmare. (ret. Paramedic)
I am still in shock, and will be for a long while. Its like hitting a brick wall doing 100 MPH.
Thank you all soooo
much for listening. I was afraid no one would.
