Well, I'm on day 2 of my "Alone Journey" and haven't spoken to or seen another human being all day. It's nearly 5 pm where i live, and I've somehow managed to get thru the day w/o digging myself deep into a hole, but i sure am ........ lonely. I really crave companionship/friendship/a community and that just doesn't exist for me right now, so I guess i need to be my OWN companion/friend/community (of one). OMG!! That means I'll sort of have to like myself and be ok with being with me just the way i am. What an interesting concept/challenge!!
So that really means i need to watch my thoughts every single second and shift them when they start to take me down a path I don't want to go.
THE MIND IS A DANGEROUS NEIGHBORHOOD TO HANG OUT IN!!
It's interesting, because when I lived in my house of nearly 25 years, there was always something to do - in the yard, washing clothes, washing the car, fussing in the garage or somewhere in the house. Kept me pretty occupied. Now, I have none of those "distractions" - not in this tiny single-wide mobile home where I've lived for over 2 years.
Maybe that's what i need to learn/discover about myself: that I can actually be with myself/tolerate myself/even love myself in the face of having nothing to do/no where to go/no one to be with!
That's a pretty big challenge, and i just realized that i don't have much choice in the matter at the moment, since I sure can't move out of here - certainly not today and maybe not even in the near future until I start making enough money to support another place.
Acceptance is one of the highest spiritual principles, so perhaps that's what I really need to do in my heart, in my mind and in my life.
Thank you for your prayers. Blessings, Andrea

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
But afraid to stop because I would have to face the quiet and what was ultimately in my head. Now I'm in it and it is so hard. Incredibly hard.
I give you a ton of credit for facing it.
