Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Like I said my therapist is out of my life, and I am miserable. He was the best therapist in the world. He was around my age so he could actually relate to me better then someone ( not all the time) can that is way up in age. i know that sounds mean, but that's just how they do different things. I've gotten used to meditation every session. i hope the new therapist does it. I don't have a therapist but I have a peer support guy, he's awesome. Not as good as my therapist was.
For the first time I do not feel abandoned. I can use all the techniques that my old therapist gave me. He taught me to stand up for my self.He asked if I was gonna quit standing up for myself.I told him no I will do it to anyone even my parents if need be. I've stood up for myself with my ex boyfriend. He didn't appreciate me doing that. He broke up with me 2 days before Christmas.
I got to go say Thank You for a awesome therapist. I like Thank You better then good bye. I bought him a Thank you card.
I've never had a therapist like that before. The others just disappear out of my life for good. Even when working. But this therapist made time for me on his last day. He knew how much that meant to me. There were times when I said I wanted to die that he just talked to me and he was the only one that could get ( and understand) to ask me why I want to die. Most of the time I couldn't tell him. Not because i didnt trust him. But because that was what was going through my mind. I have schizophrenia.
There is so much more I could tell you guys about him but I don't want to spend all day typing and I don't think you want to take all day reading this
