Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have found that when people cross your boundaries it is best to use short, simple, and to the point replies. Keep them consistent! For example when she calls you our your siblings a nasty name you could say:
"That was uncalled for."
Then leave.
If you do this enough she will at least know that to use names like that in your presence is a guaranteed way to make you leave.
As a depressed person I stand firmly behind this statement:
"Depression, or any other mental illness, should never be used as justification for rude behavior."
Gentle hugs
I do pray you find some peace, susu
