Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Ignore the drama, and respond with short simple suggestions.
"Mom, then you make the appointment for him."
Don't get caught up on the drama, cut it off.
"Mom, either he makes the call or you do it. What's next?"
Hugs
Were he mine, I would tell him how concerned I am about is respiratory difficulty, and would feel much better if he saw a doctor.
If he then refuses, .. it's 'his funeral' .... pun intended.
