I've been fighting depression for years and recently I've had a breakthrough where I've finally been able to keep my depressive moods at bay. It's been about a month and a half since I've had a terrible depressed frame of mind. However, my thoughts keep going into the direction of what caused my feelings of depression.
I'm obsessed over a lost relationship. I want to move on and get better but at the same time I don't want to let go of my obsession. I know my obsession is an illusion but i believe that if I could ever have what I want I would be able to attain complete happiness. I'm obsessed an illusion that I know isn't true
The periods of time when I felt sorry for myself, when I felt like a victim to the point that I became angry and then wanted to kill myself only to hurt someone are gone but my obsession with that person is still here.
I happy about the fact that I don't torment myself anymore by imagining that I'm a victim and that I should kill myself to hurt someone else but I feel disappointed about the fact that I'm still very obsessed over someone and I haven't been able to figure out how to let go. I don't want to start a relationship with someone else because I'm afraid that i will become obsessed with that person. I don't know how to handle this.

The pain of a broken heart is really difficult to get over.
How long has it been since the relationship ended ??
I know first hand how scary it is to be "Obsessed" . I have been "Obsessed" once or twice in my life.
I was so in love with this guy. But that was a very long time ago.
Please know that no matter how strong these feelings are towards this lost love, they will dissipate as time goes by.
Please have faith in yourself.
Don't be afraid to love again.

It's the most bizarre experience I've ever had in my life. I'm getting better and I am getting over it but the healing process is extraordinarily slow.
I keep hoping that the person I lost will be a part of my life again but if I were to get what I want it would only reinforce my obsession. I don't want this obsession anymore! Sometimes I wonder why I want the one thing that has caused the most pain in my life. I believe I'm getting close to being able to figure out how to solve this problem.
