School has always been that thing I've been good at. I love learning, projects, writing, reading. I finished my liberal arts degree last semester and started working for my sustainability degree this fall. This is my passion and intrest, what I really want to do. So why am I failing so hard at it. I'm missing assignments, forgetting exams. I missed a take home exam that was due this week. Just completely forgot about it. Worth 30 points of my grade. All the stress, all the depression and changes I've been dealing with are ruining the one thing I had left. Its hard for me to even get to school with no car and all the stress with my broken arm and that not healing properly and my job being weird about it and the stress of not having a way to work when I do go back and the stress of me not getting my disability checks, not having money to even feed myself with...living has become a day to day thing. I lack motivation. I have a constant sick feeling in my stomach and a frequent tightness in my chest (not full blown panic attacks, just tightness that doesn't go away) I either don't sleep at night or I sleep to much. I'm always tired. I hate this.

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

I wish I had more suggestions for you. Just know you can come here as often as you need to, to vent. There is usually always someone on here, if you need to chat.

You are definitely under way too much stress. I'm not surprised at all that you forgot an exam; I know I would if I were in your situation.
The thing is, as Annie pointed out, school doesn't have to be done right now. I think you need to take care of your basic needs -- getting your arm healed, getting your disability checks, going back to work and getting enough money for food and rent. Nobody could deal with school when they have all those other things up in the air.
You are 22. If you took a semester off, or even a year, it wouldn't hold you back much at all. Trying to do it now with all this other stuff is just going to make you feel worse, because it's pretty much impossible to be good in school with all that other stuff going on.
Do you have any friends or family that can help you get a handle on some of these situations?
