I've never amounted to anything and I dont know how to teach my son to be more successful...

my son has not gotten the right examples from me to show him what he needs to succeed in life... if I knew I would have myself but now I see him going down the same road I took when I know he can do better

I feel like such a loser cause I cant raise my son proper

now Im disabled and have a small income so now I can help him even less...

I feel he would do better off if he was sent to someone else to live and I just give up

All I can think of is to let him know you'll be there for him, now and in the future. That would make me feel better; I've never had the support of either of my parents. That was something I've always wanted to hear. "I'm proud of you", "You're doing a great job", "I'm here for you". All breif, all take no time at all, but they make the biggest difference.

How old is he? It may not be 'too late'. Good parenting does not require wealth.

Talking and letting him know how much he's loved and cared for, means more than any dollar amount.

My dad rarely talked. He yelled.... A bad life as a child.

But believe me, having a parent that can provide love and understanding and support, means the world.
