Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Please take pride in small victories! Even if getting up to shower or cook a meal, or pick up the house. Anything you do is a major accomplishment when you or I feel this down. Try to do at least one thing every day and eventually you will find that your doing more then what you thought you could do. :)
Sending hugs and prayers your way.
I M ON ALOT OF MEDS AND DREAD SHOWERS CAUSE I MIGHT FALL.
DRENA
PRAYING 4 U.
I am no better then anyone else and trust me I have all the same feeling, fears, doubts, and just plain drained of life. I force myself to get up almost every day and go to work and do the best I can. Most days I come home and do nothing though except that one thing I set out to do for the day. With the deep depression I feel most days it take everything I have in me to even go to work. I also live for the weekends when my responcibilitys are a lot less and I can have down time, but this week I had to work the weekend and that just drives my depression even worse, because I get no down time to try to relax not that I can anyway. I have this major problem with seeing things that need to be done and feeling bad for not doing them, but yet not having the ambition to take care of it. That is why I started my list of one thing a day to do, besides going to work so I could feel I made an accomplishment and something gets done. We cant let depression completely take us over! NO matter how much it sucks the life from us we have to fight it and keep trying to break free of it.
Peace and hugs to all.
