Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
1) "Do You Remember Rock and Roll Radio?" -- The Ramones
I'm not much for this band, but what sounds like 50 drum kits at once appealed to me. It's defintitely not typical Ramones, but then Phil Spector directed it, so what what you expect?
2) "Rock You Like a Hurricane" -- Scorpions
3) "Start Me Up" -- Rolling Stones
Right up with "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" with regards to recognizable opening guitar riffs.
4) "Gotta Get Away" -- Offspring
Good combo of riffs and rage...Dexter Holland and the boys at the peak of their careers.
5) "Listen to the Band" -- The Monkees
Michael Nesmith, who sings lead on this one, was the only Monkee with any true musical talent -- he went on to have a successful solo career afterwards.
6) "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" -- AC/DC
7) "Borderline" -- Madonna
Again, I don't care much for her -- but pre-"Like A Virgin", which I feel changed her career for the bad, she was okay.
8) "Burning for You" -- Blue Oyster Cult
By far my favorite cut from them and definitely the best one from the Fire of Unknown Origin album.
9) "Money for Nothing" -- Dire Straits
Could be an anthem for anyone who's just plain ticked at athletes' salaries, etc.
10) "Take It to the Limit" -- The Eagles
This list should give you some idea of what to do. Now it's your turn!
For some reason whenever I feel like I'm at rock bottom I always listen to this album.
2) Weezer-Pinkerton or Blue album
I'm always nostalgic for Weezer
3)Radiohead-In Rainbows
Such a beautiful album
4)Nappy Roots-The Pursuit Of Nappyness
5)Marilyn Manson-High End Of Low
6)The Pixies-Best Of
7)Marilyn Manson-Eat Me Drink Me
8)DC Talk-Jesus Freak
9)Ice Cube-I Am The West
10)Placebo-Best Of
