You too know farewell that somber feeling when the sun went down on your wrath, and it left you in tears, and you mustered up the courage to become whole and complete again.

And then again, the second time around, it came again, only this time a little stronger to withstand on your own, so pushed and pulled to rise above with loved ones/family.

And so we did it again, three times a charm, but this time, as emptinesters, and that somber feeling from the first time is still alive. It hasn't healed; he's not around to bring healing, and I'm grateful, and I wouldn't want to have it any other way, because it reflects my choice of becoming the woman I am today.

I don't regret it because I saw and held the glory of the sun in my arms, my heaven on earth.

I still mourn the life that gave me hope and the heart to feel her absence and become the mother of her siblings, more so now than before, knowing what has become of this trajectory.

My flesh is not six feet under; I am alive, and I will bloom as God intends for his glory and honor.
