Not to offend but how do you decide who needs the most help. I need more help than alot of people here, maybe thats selfish of me. One of the people that you said I looked at there profile. It says he is an artist and can play most instruments. I would kill to be able to play any instrument and it is my dream to play the piano. I would also love to be able to draw better. Its seems like these people have a lot more going for them than they realize. It just saddens me to see people living my dream and still say they need more. Maybe we should start with helping people on this forum that have absolutely nothing. Those are the people that truly need help and support and fast.

We should help everyone and exclude no-one. Sending hugs to these people is a nice thing to do, helping people on the boards is a nice thing to do.
I dont know everyone but I try to offer support and love to as many people as I can. It's just a courtesy, no-one is pressuring you into sending hugs to these people, it's a choice.
If you know of someone, including yourself that could do with some support, feel free to ask and most would oblige.

I happily extend an olive branch to both, filled with wishes for peace and healing, as they both bring much joy to others, and deserve it for themselves.

Brian, this is something we do when we know our friends are in trouble. We all have things to be mega thankful for, but sometimes we learn things behind the scenes that most wouldn't be aware of by reading a profile.

Brian....... I know you are new here, and I know how bad you are hurting right now and that you are feeling alone. Please try to keep in mind, that you did just join, and alot of people here don't know you yet. When a friend sends out a post like this, you can't simply look at profiles and know what they are going thru, because they don't always journal about it there. Those of us who know them, know what is going on mainly thru posts here. I understand why you feel the way you do, from what you can see , but these friends of ours are hurting alot...

so we ban together to give them love and support...... just like we do you. I know you are really struggling, and I send out all the love and support to you too.

i dont think it makes a bit of difference if u lived in a tent or a palace with all the MATERIALISTIC thing you could have dreamed of, when true depression takes hold of you it does not distinguise between classes. i have two beautiful kids and a ok life, not rich, and everything to live for but i felt so suicidal at times which is almost worse because you have no reason or cause to blame, just your own fucked up head.

I can totally relate with what you are saying Brian but I also know that people who do have these type of incredible talents have a bigger cross to bear in their depression as they may not generally be able to do those arts/talents they so enjoy when their depression hits.

For me, I write poetry and usually it takes either me being on a real natural high or in a real bottomless pit for me to write. I'm one of those who can still, even at rock bottom, put my talents to task.

You will find, as you are here for an extended period, people who are pretty level with their mental illness(es) who are mostly a support here, some who are equal in their bad times as in their good times and some who are constantly in a bad state. Making sure that the people here who need it, be it one day or a week at a time, get that support.

I am so hoping that you will start feeling the effects of support coming your way very soon Brian. We are pretty much all in this boat together!
