Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

So, when I was 18 I started playing guitar, I stayed with a teacher a year. I remember siitting out in the hall, Listening to another teacher (the one I would end up with for 8 years) He tought me music I really wanted to learn.
I would go home, and pratice for a few hours a day. i even told my mom I wanted to be a rockstar......Anyway, oneday I went in to take lessons, I had a dog we but to sleep a few mouths prior.....Anyway, I found myself brushing that tick off me (thank god those little guys guys can hang on for deer life) And the teacher sculded me.
When someone sculds me I just start being cute.....But, he appologized....for sculdiing me. Usually when he was done giving a lesson, he would open the door, and would say "seeya next week" But., that day he didn't.....Cause he knew I was gonna quit, and that's waht I did, I walked out and said "I QUIT" which I really bad for, cause I wanted to keep learning. When My mom piicked me up I told her that I had quit, And said I wanted to go back.....She's like don't You know enough, I should have said no, But, didn't say anying.......A few years later that teacher freinded me on Linkedin ( I'm sure wanting me to come back)
Now, I am working with another guy, via zoom, I have seen my previous teacher at the Gym once in a while, ignore him, cause I can't tell him about the guy I work with on zoom. The would insult him, cause one day, my teacher (the one I quit on
asked me to bring inn my old book (from the teacher I started out with when I was 18) so I did, he took a look in the book, and there was chord progression I had written, He took one look at said: I would have helped you with that, And gave the bood back to me.
If my teacher (The one I see at the gym from time to time) ever asked me did I want to come back, I don't know how to tell him I'm working with this guy on zoom.
Woeking with this teacher, (Before the zoom teacher) I know how sensitive he is.
But, anyway like I have worked with this guy on zoon for for 10yrs, But as of late, Don't want to pratice anymore.....I LOVE GUITAR.....And at one time all I wanted to do is play, But struggle.....I don't know how do keep myself motivated.......I listen to music at the gym, and keep telling myself, I'm gonna teach myself this song when I get home, but never do.
any ideas on getting motivated?? Also, I quit guitar lesson from my previon teacher ( I know there's nothing I can do about it) like 21 year's ago, and still beating myself up for it

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I guess what I am saying is that we all come to different points in our development. Maybe time to work with a band? I know where I live there is a jazz venue, and on Sundays people can just jump in and jam. It is so much fun, I took some lessons there. I'm not at a place where I could perform in public, but I was invited to a jam, maybe something like that would change things up, IDK.
This is a business to them and it shouldn't be up to a client to stroke their ego they're providing a service
I get that after 8 years you had a connection but it's still business to him
If you aren't up to learning something new are you practicing?
I think Mars has a good idea what about joining a band? or busking?
