Hey all,
I was diagnoised with Basal Cell Skin Cancer in 2008. I had to have surgery to remove it, now mind you they basically had to remove my upper lip and then put it back. This wasn\'t pretty nor easy. Well, I was informed that I have more on my lip an may have to have more surgery. Also had to have a spot removed from my back. I"m glad that it was caught, but will now have to worry the rest of my life.
So, I would like to remind everyone that thou this usally not life threathing, it can be prevented. That 1 of 4 people will be diagnoised with some type of skin cancer.
So please, remember to use sunscreen on you and your loved ones. The sun is good for you but don\'t let yourself get sunburned as this is what does the most damage.
Until, it comes into your life it\'s really easy to ignore.If you know someone that is dealing with Skin Cancer,please show support and don\'t thnk it\'s not a big deal. Even thou it\'s not a death sentence, it is Cancer. And it does change you life.

a close friend has stage 4 melinoma (sp) ... so scary.
so your\'s is treatable at least?
Yes, while mine is treatable it has been disfiguring to say the least. My condolences for your friend. The chances of Melanoma increases with the diagnois of either Squuamous or Basal Cell skin cancer.
