I have grown to understand that depression comes and goes, but recently I have felt more despair than desire when it comes to living. It seems to just be a constant struggle to maintain a routine, my health, relationships, work, etc. I am wondering what us really the point of it all. What the hell does anything in this world really mean anyway? I mean, we're all just going to die one day, so what's the objective?

I feel the same way. I don't know what it means. I pray a lot but can't understand why it is one thing after another. At least if something good would happen once in a while it would help. I am amazed people want to live to be 100. I don't know why some people have it better than others and actually seem to like life. I am not afraid of dying I am afraid I will live a very long life and feel like this a long time. Im sorry I don't have any insight for you but just want you to know I wonder the same thing.

you roll the rock up a hill, it goes down another, you roll it back up a hill, for eternity.

according to camus, you're supposed to feel good while pushing the rock up the hill.

and the greeks wondered about such stuff 2000 years ago.

I don't have the answer either but I do wonder about it.
I feel like hell all the time, life is miserable for me. I don't
know what the point of it is but I do wish it would end.

prehistoric man did try to figure out death, with trinkets in graves, even 10,000 years ago.

old testament tried to figure out the cosmopolitian empire of babylon, by coming up with tower of babel bible story; babylon empire had lots of foreignors, and buildings were made of sun baked clay, with buildings falling apart in rain...hence, tower of babel bible story.

christianity, for 1,500 years made sense of things by having earth the center of universe, with sun and planets revolving around it....anybody who disagreed was burnt at the stake.

Giordano Bruno, burned at the stake----for believing in other worlds!
