Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Drinking is a depresent substance, Binge drinking can be caused by living with or loving a alcholic perhaps parent, sybling, or very close friend.
Now if that is your situation they have a very good program called Alanon this does work with a little perseverence they have meetings everywhere.
They also have Adult Children of Alcaholics that is very similar.
This is a good way to introduce you to meetings that explain how you can get better.
If you have never had any of the above it is AA
There will be no pressure to talk you can just listen.
Alanon have two very good books it has one page for every day of the year and a good index if you want to look at specific feelings you have.

If you are looking for help they work well for lots of members.
I am not sure if you can order on-line but every AA regional office keeps lots of them, or you can pick them up at any Alanon meeting.
I have been through similar things that are on your profile and they are great you just read one small page every day. FULL OF SENSE AND WISDOM.
Happiness is a tough one but through study DS and any other tools that you can find
it is the same old story knowledge is good.
Alanon is also a good start my Dad call himself a DOUBLE WINNER he does Alanon & AA
