Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
you sound like you have a handle on the situation and are doing just fine with moderation. a slip, sure...but dont beat yourself up. its done and over...and tomorrow will be here soon enough.

H I don't know if you read my return post, but I basically just wanted everyone to know that I have the tendency to come and go because I am busy with work. I was afraid that people may have gotten the wrong impression with my great disappearing acts thinking that I am in trouble when really I am just working.
Anyway, I really hope I learned my lesson on this one and can continue drinking in moderation. This incident got me scared that maybe I don't have the power to do so. I guess only time will tell.
Also, I have been dealing with anxiety all morning, and I am really hoping that I didn't start another chain reaction with my panic attacks. That really is my biggest fear right now.
Just hoping that I can lie down later on and get some sleep.
You know, calling out of work isn't the end of the world hon..I know you are upset with yourself, but at this pint, you can't change what's happened, so try to just focus on the future...and do the best you can with your two drink limit. You hang in there hon! xxx
Still, I do find it hard to go even one day without a drink. I am slowly trying to limit my intake of alcohol instead of just stopping altogether. Hopefully, the two drink limit will work, and I am also spending more and more days without having a single drink (normally nights where I get off of work late)
Another problem is that every single friend I hang out with is either from the pub or the dance club I hang out at, and they are all hard core drinkers. I certainly don't want to lose my group of friends, but I also don't like feeling that I need to drink in order to hang out with them either.
If you remember my messages from before, I was once in a situation where I had no friends to hang out with and was dealing with severe loneliness.
