This quote is sometimes attributed to William Speakespeare, sometimes to Pablo Picasso. But regardless of the source, I interpret this to mean that my gift is kindness to others, and I must give it away. Not grand demonstrations of kindness or generosity, but in daily simple acts of kindness.
Simple acts of kindness - like returning the shopping cart to the designated spot instead of leaving it abandon in the far corner of the parking lot, therefore making someone else's job easier - is all it takes. Do those things consistently and not only will your actions benefit others, but your own self worth and self esteem with increase, because YOU are doing kind and thoughtful things for others and that in itself is worthy and of good esteem.
