being completely honest with people is the best thing you can do. Just tell him you arent ready to get married yet. He will understand.

You HAVE to be honest with him, even if it hurts him.

It is better to hurt someone with the truth than to do so with a lie. A lie is going to have waaaaay more repercussions in the long run, along with resentment, anger, distrust and all the other things that come with it.

He may be hurt at first but I bet, if he is an intelligent man, will understand later and thank you for your honesty now.

Have to agree with them. Explain to him that you love him & still want to be with him, but just not ready to get married again yet. If he really loves you & all that he'll understand & wait til you're ready, too.

I'm sure it won't be easy but if you're going to have a long-term relationship with him it's important to be open about how you feel. With your divorce so recent I would hope he would understand and give you the time you need to be sure this is the right thing for you...good luck.

sounds like you would be going from the frying pan and into the fire pit. Give yourself a few years to even mourn the loss of a marriage. I never understand how people are recently divorced and already with someone else who wants to marry them. WUWT.
