I rarely watch movies about pets unless it's something reallly silly, because usually the pet dies at the end . . . I just can't take it. Even if it is old age . . . I steadfastly refuse to watch I Am Legand even though I love both Will Smith and scifi, b/c of the dog in it.

I mean, I kind of take it as a given in movies about pets like this that the animal will die in the end . . .my dad's been reading exerpts from this book to me. The parts he reads are really funny. I don't think the author was messed up. From what I can tell this book is more of an autobiography written around the dog, kind of in memorial to the dog.

Don't know how the movie presents though . . .
