I broke up with my bf a month ago and my depression seems to be getting worse. I am really scared that I will lose my job because it is pretty mentally challenging - not something you can do with major depression. I waste all this time thinking about reaching out to him even though I know he was not good for me and do not want a romantic relationship with him - I just really miss the companionship I guess. I am in no shape to be trying to meet someone new. There is a local depression support group meetup but it takes place too late at night for me - messing up my sleep makes my depression worse than anything else. Does your job have a human resource department? Many time they have an employee assistance program to help with just what you are describing. Might be worth checking out.
I would be more than happy to chat with you here. Are you a believer? If so, don't forget that Jesus has promised to never leave you or forsake you. He is as close as your prayers. There have been times in my life where I battled with depression and He was what helped me get through.
