Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am so very very sorry for your loss. I can relate to you so well. My grama had breast cancer, as did my Aunt, and my mom had a double mastectomy. I lost my dad to lung cancer and blood cancer. My mom doesn't have that much time I don't believe, at least if she doesn't take better care of herself because she now has COPD and it's getting worse. I just lost my children's father to suicide. We all think he had permanent brain damage and that is why he is no longer with us. I have Barrett's Esophagus which is a stage away from Esophageal Cancer. It just seems to run in my family. It's heavy on my boys side of the family too. I now have a lump that they don't know what to think. I already had a biopsy on the left side, now this one is on the right. I usually don't talk about that because it's really not what someone wants to hear with all of my other illness's. Even though my dad and I weren't close, which is a long story in itself, I miss him and think about him. And I truly miss my ex husband even though it was 42 years ago that we were married. However, we stayed friends all those years. These are just my thoughts but I believe in my heart that your mother is in a place with absolutely no pain and is very happy looking down and watching her lovely daughter.
