Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Sorry, I know you're hurting right now, but you don't need a friend like that.
Those are ugly and cruel things to say. If there was no major psychological issue involved (this person had a psychotic break, for instance, and was unaware of their actions), then in my small opinion, you are better off.
Hugs for your pain, and wishes of healing
I agree, it can hurt. But, to be honest, relationships almost always do hurt. Be happy inside yourself, because the world around you will inevitably change.
Unfortunately there are arseholes on here like there are everywhere in life. At least now you know this person wasn't a true friend.
I'm sorry they up set you. Most people here aren't like that so don't let this person drive you off.
I am sorry this happened to you {{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}
What happened is incredibly sad and having been through something similar, and can relate to your feelings. It hurts, and it hurt me deeply. All I can say is that it speaks volumes about "her" and that's not to say anything bad. Sometimes trauma victims feel threatened by letting someone too close, and respond by pushing them away. There is no excuse for the way it was done, as it was cruel, and dangerous.
All we can do is move on, learn from the experience, and I always try my best to bless the other person because I know how sick they must be. As for me, I am learning to choose my friends carefully. In fact, I am accepting no DS friends, and for now that feels safer for me. Maybe lonely, but safer.
I regret this happened and you have handled it all so very well. Sharing here was the best thing you could have done for yourself and I commend you for it. Be well on you continuing journey toward healing.
I had a "friend" who I corresponded with online for almost two years.
I really thought that we would be life-long friends.............
Our of the blue, He became hostel towards me and used things that I told him about myself against me.
It was devastating.............
To this day, I have no idea what happened..................
I'm sorry this happened to you. ((((HUGS))))
WallyBear- Wow, two years is a long time to be friends with someone who ends up turning against you like that. I'm glad you still give people a chance here, though, and that your heart is still open to others. Your early morning greetings are especially beautiful!
Thank you all for your care and support. I still feel a little shaky but in time I hope to heal and move on. I don't want to close myself off from people again like I used to be. It was such a lonely, isolated place and I really don't want to go back there again. No one deserves that kind of aloneness and isolation.
I know the person you are referring to. Are you sure you don't have your story slightly mixed up? I think you need to rethink what you just told everyone on here.
This is not your fault. This is a disturbed person. Just remember, it is a support group and all types come here. On the other hand, maybe she was having a rough day. I have several times in my day unfriended people because I took a comment the wrong way and was offended. It was my bad day, but their comment that was the trigger.
Please report and be comforted, because a friend like that isn't the type you need anyway.
lorm is right you arent being honest here and if you are okay with lying to others thats on you but really just stop. you claim you dont want to hurt others but it is all you are doing although you claimed to be this persons friend what you did didnt make that statement ever even remotely close to factual. you writing this took it a step further to what you did to them and what you claim really isnt true.
