Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

If you've only been taking the meds for three days, I'd say give them a little more time to work. Maybe you should put off going to your mom's for another day or so.
Have you had your thyroid tested? I found out that was a large part of my problems. A slow thyroid can cause major depression, no energy, loss of hair, dry skin..etc..the list goes on & on. Just a thought. ((hugs & prayers)))
Also, as tough as it is not only does it take meds awhile to kick in and work, but it also takes some time for the body to get used to them. They too can cause a bit of upset stomach and fatigue in the beginning. Still, if you feel too bad, call the doctor. He may switch you to something more mild or cut your dosage slightly and then up your dosage slowly over time. Could be too much at once.
Sending u ((((Hugs)))).
