Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
What I can share is that I have been through a lot in my lifetime... and in different instances would wind up in counseling or therapy... each time learning more and kind of giving me another piece to the puzzle helping me a bit further on my journey.
I do believe everything happens for a reason and for me, each person I have come across has held another message ... kind of like another pebble on my path.
It's ok to want to relax and not be bothered. But when it comes to be that you are feeling empty, sad and alone.... then is when I would say just post a little journal or message on here. It helps to reach out or have another reach out to you. On DS I have come across many kind people who would share their experiences and encourage me... no I do want to try and do the same. We ALL need someone to care.
Hugs, Kim
My family did Thanksgiving last week and I think actually having my whole family around helped. I didn’t feel outside, I enjoyed having them around. I had a lot of anxiety about Thanksgiving and went away as soon as everyone was here.
Thanks for listening, by the way. I appreciate having y’all here at DS
