Lexapro side effects

Lexapro is working for me.However I do not like the weird dreams or the sexual side effects.Should I try to reduce the dosage?

I don't think we should be telling you how to change your dosage.

How long have you been on Lexapro? I took it for 4 years and the only side effects I had were sex issues like decreased libido.

Hello, I just started taking Lexapro 3 weeks ago and I to have had some initial side effects. I'd suggest that you call your doctor and discuss the issues you're having. I had to call my doc twice since starting. The first call he prescribed Xanax three times a day to help with the onset of severe anxiety. The second call he prescribed Ambien to help me sleep better. After doing a lot of research I've discovered that many of the side effects you might be experiencing today will subside in the days and weeks ahead. I know that the side effects are really bothersome, and that they can add to the stress you already have to endure. Just hang in there and know that all medications have to make chemical adjustments. That the majority of side effects go away after your body adjusts. And most important is that you keep your doctor informed. You and your doctor will be able to make the right decisions concerning your meds and dosages. Good Luck & know that you're not alone!
