Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
If you are just feeling sorry for yourself, join the Peace Corp or just
take a trip to a 3rd world country and see the suffering of men
women and children who don't have a quarter of the money you spend on booze and drugs, I think you will see how good you
really have it if you only remember there are always people worse
off than you even in the town you live in there;s needy hungry
and homeless people, go visit them and maybe you'll get some
prospective.
Good Luck

Can I suggest something for you to digest that may help get you on to the road to feeling better again? Drinking so much beer and taking all those tablets tells me you can't cope with feeling so bad all the time and you are trying to find ways of making it go away.
It also sounds as if you may be isolated due either to circumstances or to your inability to get up and be with people due to your depression.
Either way, it sounds like a horrible place to be. Have you considered joining an AA support group? You will have anonymity, but you will also be able to be with people who know what you are going through. You can get a sponsor, which is someone to talk to every day when you need to drink and the meetings are incredibly warm and supportive. You don't need to be anybody but yourself at the meetings and even if you just sit quietly and listen, you will have spent some time with a group of people who are having similar experiences to you. Start with that one thing in common, and when you're ready to talk, you'll be surprised when you actually find yourself laughing at a wisecrack, especially when you thought you would never be able to do that again.
Maybe when you get to a point where you can set aside some or all of the alcohol, the medication will be able to kick in and give you the emotional and physical strength that you really really need to allow the good feelings to return. I know that my knee jerk response when I am depressed or anxious is to have a drink and the first one does help. But I don't stop there. I don't even drink that much, but it's not long before the alcohol-related downer sets in and before long, I have self-loathing about my drinking added to my already low self-esteem.
Have you also tried to change your living space? Subtle changes like moving a picture or putting a bunch of flowers in your bathroom? A nice smelling candle? This sounds silly and it may sound like a lot of effort, but just puttering around with a very small purpose may just open your mind to other nice things you can do for yourself and ways that you can start loving yourself. But please, consider the AA suggestion - you don't even have to see yourself as "one of them" but for a start it will be nice to be around other people. Sending you love and hope.
i know how you feel - sometimes it seems like the whole world is ending around us. nothing we can do but hang on...
Keep your eyes peeled to the eastern sky, be ready. As Christ said himself, there won't be time to go back and get your coat. Like to farmers in the field one will go, the other left behind. If you are high and drunk, you could miss the trumpet sounding, and be left.
Donna only thinks she's depressed now, wait until the day after, talk about being depressed. Now, that's depressing. When you have lost your last chance and there is no hope any longer. Knowing that you have heard the truth, yet walked away. It will be to late, even God wont show you any mercy.
Stay alert mikail, and we'll meet in the sky with our Saviour. Our bodies will be made whole, no more sickness, no more pain, no more tears to shed. Stay alert my friend we're not to far away from that day now.
If you want to know just how close Satan is, just look at Washington DC. I don't need to say anything else.
