Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

This has been a horrid two weeks. Numerous car repairs, I did not see my therapist last week because of the holiday and spent it alone. I ate chicken pot pie and a whole pumpkin pie and made 4 potholders. Friday my boss told me she is definitely going to close the store where I work after Christmas, and today I learned I have another MAJOR problem with my car. I cannot afford the repair and cannot take on any more debt because of becoming unemployed for the New Year.
.
I have got to make a decision about that car! I have a lien against it, If I could sell it for enough money to clear the title, then maybe I could afford another vehicle at one of the " we tote note" places.
I have not talked with anyone about the repair and I have an appointment with my therapist before work tomorrow so don't think I will be able to talk with anyone then either.
.I should have followed my topic title with.........THINGS CAN'T GET WORSE, THEY DO
The last three years have been like this for me. One after another. I am three years older now, and it is getting harder to deal with. It almost seems normal.
I also saw my therapist for the first time in two weeks. He thinks I am coping well.
The car isn't wanting to start this morning. I have 15 minutes, then I will have to call a cab. I cannot afford that either.

THEN WHAT?
What is NAMI? i have not heard of it.p
I am handicapped in that I cannot drive after dark. My current job has had me working 6 days a week for two and a half years. I work alone so there is no one to cover for me if I need time off.
I am fortunate to be in good health and praise God every day for that blessing.
I have no social life. My only "friends" are people I do business with. I am not comfortable discussing my private life with them.
